Tianzhou Architectural Photography
Biography
Tianzhou Yang (b. 1995) is an acclaimed architectural photographer and designer based in London and Beijing. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Tongji University and a Master’s with distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
In 2022, Tianzhou founded TJAP Studio, establishing a strong presence in both China and the UK. His work, featured on platforms like ArchDaily, Dezeen, and Designboom, critically examines the relationship between buildings, urbanisation, and social policies. Known for blending technical precision with artistic vision, his photography spans Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Tianzhou collaborates with renowned firms such as MAD Architects and Gensler, and his recent personal work critiques the overexposure of architectural imagery on social media, highlighting the detachment of architecture from its context in the digital age.
With a multicultural perspective, Tianzhou has earned a reputation as an influential voice in architectural photography. He is also a visiting critic at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
