Biography

Tianzhou Yang (b. 1995) is a renowned architectural photographer based in London and Beijing. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Tongji University, Shanghai, where he began photographing projects for leading architectural firms, documenting China's rapid urbanisation with a critical eye. His work on the Long Museum received significant attention, featuring in prominent architectural media such as Archiposition and Gooood.

In 2019, Tianzhou moved to London and graduated with distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, with a Master of Architecture (RIBA Part 2). He founded TJAP, an architectural photography studio, in 2022. Tianzhou travels extensively across Europe, Asia, and Africa, undertaking commissioned and personal projects, creating a comprehensive and high-quality image archive, and providing visual support to numerous academic research projects.

Tianzhou’s architectural photography explores the interplay between buildings, environments, users, cultures, and social policies. His robust architectural background and multicultural perspective allow him to capture these relationships with visual elegance and subtlety. His work has earned praise from visual theory scholars Jonathan Hill and Robin Wilson.
